On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the leadership of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) carried out a series of meaningful activities at the beginning of the Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo). These included offering incense to the Industry Ancestral Founders and President Ho Chi Minh, launching production at various manufacturing units, and paying New Year visits to member enterprises across the North, Central, and Southern regions. Taking place from February 21 to 24, 2026, the activities not only created an atmosphere of enthusiasm for the new year but also demonstrated Vinatex’s strong commitment to strategic repositioning, restructuring, and sustainable development for the 2026–2030 period.

Production Launch Ceremonies: Creating Momentum from the Start of the Year
On the morning of February 21, Dr. Le Tien Truong led a delegation to launch production and extend New Year greetings to employees at Eight March Textile Company Limited (EMTEXCO) and the Vinatex Product Development & Business hub (Vinatex PD&B). On the same day, Vinatex CEO Cao Huu Hieu initiated production and visited employees at Hanoi Textile and Garment JSC (Hanosimex) – Ninh Binh Branch.

In the Central region, Hue Textile and Garment JSC officially launched its new production year with more than 92% of employees returning to work after the holiday. Meanwhile, the yarn division of Hoa Tho Textile and Garment JSC simultaneously restarted all production lines with urgency and determination. Previously, on February 20 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), Vinatex Nam Dinh Spinning Mill had also held its production launch ceremony. These traditional activities symbolize a favorable start to the new production year and demonstrate Vinatex’s determination to maintain business momentum from the very first days of the year.

During the visits, Group leaders assigned specific tasks to each unit: quickly stabilize post-holiday production, ensure on-time order fulfillment, strengthen management discipline, and proactively seize market opportunities. For 2026–2030, Vinatex identified key development pillars including supply chain restructuring, digital transformation, eco-friendly product development, and enhanced international competitiveness.
Northern Enterprises: Strengthening Internal Capacity and Governance
On February 22–23, Vinatex leaders visited and worked with numerous member enterprises in the Northern region, including Dong Xuan Knitting Company (DOXIMEX), Hung Yen Garment Corporation (HUGACO), Nam Dinh Textile and Garment JSC (NATEXCO), Vinatex Nam Dinh Spinning Mill, Hanosimex, Garment 10 Corporation – Joint Stock Company (GARCO 10), Pho Noi Textile and Garment Infrastructure Development JSC (PHO NOI ID JSC), Vinatex Fashion Center, Duc Giang Corporation (DUGARCO), Hanoi University of Industry and Trade, the Textile and Garment Medical Center, and Hanoi Industrial Textile JSC (HAICATEX).

Group leaders reviewed early-year production performance, encouraged employees, and acknowledged enterprises’ efforts amid ongoing global market volatility. They emphasized the need to accelerate restructuring, improve governance capacity, control costs, enhance labor productivity, and improve employees’ income and living standards.

The consistent message was to shift from a “survival mindset” to a “development strategy,” placing efficiency, quality, and value-added growth at the core of production and business operations.

Central Region Enterprises: Strategic Positioning, “Don’t Be Afraid” to Break Through
On February 23–24, 2026, the delegation continued visiting and setting strategic directions for member enterprises in the Central region, focusing on Hue and Da Nang. Chairman Le Tien Truong affirmed that the Central region is increasingly important in Vinatex’s overall development strategy and is identified as “a new growth pole” thanks to its geographic advantages, logistics infrastructure, and human resources. Group leaders encouraged enterprises in the Central region to focus on improving efficency in depth rather than merely expanding scale, investing in technology, enhancing productivity and product quality, and strengthening governance effectiveness. For 2026–2027, Vinatex plans to form large-scale production and supply alliances, including becoming a strategic partner of the U.S. Cotton Council International (CCI) to strengthen negotiation capacity and meet origin and sustainability requirements in key export markets.

Vinatex Chairman expressed his hope that enterprises in the Hue area will continue to serve as a nucleus for innovation, spreading the spirit of cooperation and strengthening governance capacity. “Success is not only about higher profits, but about being smarter and more sustainable” – emphasized Chairman Le Tien Truong.
At Hoa Tho, to emphasize the spirit of innovation, Vinatex Chairman shared a detail from the Bible: across the 1,189 chapters of the Old and New Testaments, the phrase “do not be afraid” appears 365 times – a reminder for every day of the year. “Once a day, don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid to think differently, to be creative, to step out of your comfort zone, or even to make mistakes,” he emphasized.

He noted that the hardest challenge is not technological change, but a shift in leadership mindset. If leaders remain afraid of losing stability, taking risks, or experimenting, businesses will struggle to break through. At the same time, the responsibility of corporate leaders goes beyond delivering short-term results; it also means securing the long-term future of their organizations. “We cannot sit here and believe the old model will take us all the way. The only path forward is change,” he stated.
Southern Enterprises: Piloting New Models to Drive Sustainable Growth
From February 25–26, Vinatex leaders visited and worked with Southern member enterprises. At the Group’s Ho Chi Minh City Office, leaders stressed the need to innovate governance models and streamline operations toward a lean, efficient organizational structure to meet growth pressures. Accelerating the digitalization of management and strengthening linkages among units by industry groups have been identified as key foundations for improving operational efficiency in the new phase.

At Southern Textile and Garment Corporation – Vinatex (VSC), leadership acknowledged its successful restructuring and productivity improvements in 2025. With confirmed orders through July 2026, VSC is expected to expand operations and closely link R&D with production, Striving to achieve a three-digit profit figure.
At Nha Be Garment Corporation (NBC), the orientation toward AI and robotics application in production was recognized as pioneering. Successful pilot models are expected to be replicated throughout the system.

For Phong Phu Corporation and Viet Thang Corporation, Vinatex encouraged continued restructuring and bold experimentation with high value-added products and new business models. Meanwhile, Viet Tien Garment Corporation was recognized for its core role and directed to further transition toward automated production, expand FOB and ODM models, and strengthen brand development.
The series of early-year activities in the South underscores Vinatex’s determination to innovate its growth model, apply advanced technologies, and enhance competitiveness, laying a strong foundation for sustainable development in the 2026–2030 period.
