On the afternoon of February 8, at Hung Yen Garment Corporation – JSC (Pho Hien Ward, Hung Yen Province), General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; and Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, visited and presented Tet gifts to workers and employees in Hung Yen province.

Reporting on the situation of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry and the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) in 2025, Dr. Le Tien Truong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinatex, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Yen Garment Corporation stated that in 2025, the industry’s export turnover is estimated to reach about 46 billion USD, an increase of about 5% compared to 2024, maintaining the Top 2 global textile and garment exporters. For Vinatex, 2025 was also a “special” year as consolidated profit reached 1,479 billion VND – the highest level in Vinatex’s 30-year history; the average income of employees reached 11.7 million VND/month, an increase of 10% compared to 2024. Additionally, Vinatex accounts for about 10% of the country’s export turnover but only accounts for about 6% of the entire industry’s workforce. This demonstrates that the Group’s average labor productivity is 1.8 times higher than other enterprises.

In the Hung Yen area, the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) currently has 20 member units (including 12 units in the former Hung Yen province and 8 in the former Thai Binh province). The entire system employs about 21,000 workers, mainly local labor, with an average income of about 12 million VND/person/month. The total annual salary cost of the units is estimated at about 3,200 billion VND. Along with that, Vinatex units in this area contribute about 350 billion VND in taxes and 360 billion VND for social insurance to the State budget, ensuring full benefits for employees. Notably, about 90% of the workforce are locals, whereby the income source is reinvested and spent right in the locality, making an important contribution to promoting the province’s socio-economic development. Currently, enterprises in the Vinatex system use about 45 hectares of land which attracts about 500 workers per hectare, creating a wage value of over 50 billion VND/ha/year and contributing nearly 20 billion VND/ha in taxes and social insurance. The total economic value generated per hectare of land is approximately 70 billion VND, showing high efficiency.
Hung Yen Garment Corporation – JSC currently has about 1,800 employees, operating on an area of 1.6 hectares right in the city center. In 2025, the Corporation achieved an export turnover of 80 million USD, equivalent to over 50 million USD/ha – a very high level compared to the industry average. The average income of employees reached over 13 million VND/person/month; the total income of each employee reached 160 million VND, equal to 1.6 times the GRDP of the entire province, higher than the average level of the Group and among the highest in the entire industry. The total income paid to employees of Hung Yen Garment Corporation in 2025 reached about 320 billion VND, along with a profit of nearly 3.8 million USD. Overall, the economic value created per hectare of land for Hung Yen Garment Corporation is estimated at about 300 billion VND/ha, demonstrating outstanding production and business efficiency for the enterprise.
Notably, textile and garment enterprises in Hung Yen operate under a clean production model, generating no pollution. About 30% of energy currently used is converted to renewable energy, especially solar energy, meeting the requirements of sustainable and environmentally friendly development. Besides economic efficiency, the enterprise also focuses on social security. Hung Yen Garment Corporation maintains a free kindergarten for workers’ children, supports 50% of monthly meal costs for children; at the same time, it adopts and cares for 250 disadvantaged children until they are 18 years old and creates jobs when they grow up. On average, each employee of the Corporation contributes about 2 million VND/year to charitable and social activities. The shift meal regime is also guaranteed, ranking among the highest in the textile industry with an expenditure of 20,000 – 23,000 VND/meal (cost for food, excluding labor and facility costs).
“In the development orientation, the textile and garment industry in Hung Yen province sets a goal to build this area into a smart textile and garment production center, with an orientation of maintaining the number of workers but increasing output and value by over 10% each year. The focus is on increasing added value, increasing hourly income for workers by over 10%, thereby contributing directly to the province’s GRDP growth and ensuring position on the general average. Enterprises will also promote technological innovation, automation, improve management levels and workers’ skills; gradually shifting to higher value production stages, increasing the localization rate of raw materials to over 50% in the coming period.
On behalf of the employees of the entire Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group and enterprises in the Hung Yen, we are determined to continue developing in a civilized, modern, and effective direction; contributing to the socio-economic development of Hung Yen in particular and the whole country in general, and at the same time, we appreciate the attention and encouragement of the Party and State leaders and the Central delegation on the occasion of the early Spring of the Horse 2026 to the officers, party members, and employees of the Corporation” emphasized Dr. Le Tien Truong.

Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the business results of Vinatex in general and Hung Yen Garment Corporation in particular in Hung Yen province, especially the efficiency of land use, ensuring a clean production environment, and constantly improving income for workers.
Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that in the coming time, the key task is to promote the application of science – technology, automation, and digital transformation, considering this as the key solution to improve labor productivity, increase production value, and ensure sustainable growth. The development of modern industry must be associated with improving the quality of human resources, in which workers need to actively study, improve their skills, and adapt to the new requirements of automation and high technology.
The Minister affirmed that the ultimate goal of industrial development is to increase productivity, coupled with improving the income and living standards of workers; although the number of workers may decrease, income must be increasingly improved. This is also a consistent orientation in socio-economic development, ensuring social security, stabilizing life, and creating motivation for workers to stick with the enterprise for a long time. In addition, the Minister of Public Security requested enterprises to continue maintaining a safe and civilized production environment; focus on training and human development, and at the same time coordinate closely with functional agencies in building a modern, effective industry, contributing positively to the overall development of the country.

Also on this occasion, on behalf of the Party and State Leaders, Minister Luong Tam Quang and the Central delegation visited and encouraged workers and employees at the Garment Enterprise of Hung Yen Garment Corporation – JSC; and presented 300 gifts to workers and employees in difficult circumstances of Hung Yen Garment Corporation – JSC; Hung Yen Plastic Joint Stock Company, Hung Long 2 Garment and Service Joint Stock Company, and Thien Son Garment Company Limited.
